New MINI Countryman 2020 Singapore

The MINI Countryman just got its latest update, and has arrived in Singapore. Along with it comes the MINI Cooper Countryman S as an available option. Packed with a refined design, and additional equipment & technological selections, you should definitely keep an eye out for this MINI.

The joint announcement made by MINI Asia and Eurokars, bringing into Singapore the Countryman’s ”biggest and most versatile” member. The new Countryman generates “fresh stimuli for driving pleasure and individual flair in the hallmark style of the British premium brand”.

2020 New MINI Countryman Front

The new MINI Countryman features the same iconic body with a modified front, exuding confidence and charisma. Its updated vertical radiator grille and new LED headlights give a refreshment to the overall look. The hexagonal grille typical for all MINIs is paired with a surrounding slim, one-piece chrome frame. Those who opt for the new MINI Cooper Countryman S are greeted with a red “S” badge and single chrome strut.

2020 New MINI Countryman Exterior

Additionally, the new MINI Countryman features a brand new bumper with smaller fog light housings, creating a modern yet sturdy appearance. This pairs nicely with its increased ground clearance and roof rails to highlight its versatility and robustness.

2020 New MINI Countryman Rear

Round the back, the rear bumper is now body-coloured and is situated above a very, very slightly redesigned rear diffuser. The twin exhaust pipes remain. The taillight assembly now features a union jack in each lamp paying homage to its British roots, similar to the smaller Mini Cooper models. The MINI Countryman also features new alloy wheels and two new colour selections: White Silver and Sage Green.

New MINI Countryman Boot

As mentioned, the new MINI Countryman interior has more space for both passengers and belongings. It has a foldable rearseat, giving you a 40:20:40 split to extend storage space from 450 to up to 1,390 litres.

2020 MINI Countryman Leather Seats

Leather colour of the new MINI Countryman also comes with new selections. The additional Chester Indigo Blue and Chester Malt Brown leather variants are available in the seat upholstery options.

2020 MINI Countryman Interior

On the inside, MINI retains the large central infotainment touchscreen from the pre-facelift model, with the large ring surrounding the centre stack. The switchgear remains the same, albeit with a few different trim materials. Though many know MINI for its retro-inspired dashboard, the 8.8-inch infotainment display in the new MINI Countryman allows you to access its features with ease. These include a convenient route guidance system, wireless charging for compatible mobile phones, and a second USB socket. The infotainment buttons on the centre console are slightly retouched, but it’s still all very familiar.

2020 MINI Countryman Gauge Cluster

But the gauge cluster is new. And digital. The rev counter to the left is rather similar to the displays in BMW’s newer digital gauges.

2020 MINI Countryman MINI Connected Digital Service

Stay connected at all times in the new MINI Countryman with its 4G LTE connectivity module.  This allows you to use Intelligent Emergency Call, with your vehicle location and accident severity automatically detected and reported. Not only that, you can access a wide range of MINI Connected digital services anywhere, anytime.

2020 MINI Countryman Engine

The new MINI Countryman engine is optimised with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology and emission control. This makes fun and fuel consumption possible, giving drivers the best of both worlds. It also has the newly integrated particulate filter for petrol engines to better meet CO2 emission standards.

Not only that, the new MINI Countryman sets the bar high with an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head. This ensures highly effective cooling of the exhaust gases and the turbocharging system.

A 1.5L three-cylinder engine that produces 134bhp and 220Nm of torque powers the new MINI Countryman. This is accompanied by its standard seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission. On the other hand, the new MINI Cooper S Countryman has a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 176bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is accompanied by a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch sport transmission instead for rapid speed changes and increased shifting dynamics.
