A Shell Electric Vehicle Fuel Card – certainly gives us some food for thought. Should Singapore be implementing this system? Could we possibly be seeing this around our transport system soon?
The Shell Electric Vehicle Fuel Card offers people in the United Kingdom access to the 270 Shell Recharge sites to get their vehicles from 0% to 80% charge in just half an hour. Traditional fuel can be also paid with the card over at the 3,800 Shell sites around the country.
As we all know Singapore’s 2030 green plan, could this perhaps help us transit better to an electric fleet? Although there isn’t any information if Singapore would adopt this similar method, the idea of a one-stop card for fuel, EV and other products and services does sound clever. Think similar to our EZ-Link card, but for electric vehicle charging. Contactless, just hold the card in front of the charge point to start/stop charging.
