ICA Warns Citizens To Expect A Heavy Traffic Flow At Woodlands And Tuas Checkpoints

With the much-anticipated June school holidays fast approaching, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has announced that the worst traffic congestion is predicted to hit next month. That being so, if you are planning to take a short trip to Malaysia anytime soon, buckle up because it’s going to be a long drive.

In a statement released on Monday (27 May), ICA declared that the traffic flow all throughout Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints are expected to be heavy in June, especially on Hari Raya Puasa and weekends. Therefore, Singaporeans are advised to either make the necessary adjustments to their travel plans or be prepared for the imminent traffic jams.

To help counter the problem, ICA seeks cooperation from travellers and even shared a few tips to speed up the process at the checkpoints.

Last but not least, make sure your passport has a remaining validity of six months or more before setting off on your journey!
